Austin Flaute’s work is a harmonious blend of modern technology and timeless craftsmanship. Growing up in Ohio, Austin discovered his passion for hands-on mechanical work, design, and woodworking through countless hours of tinkering and building with Legos. This early fascination set the stage for his future endeavors.
Austin pursued his academic ambitions by earning a Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering from the University of Notre Dame, followed by a graduate degree in Architecture from the University of Arizona. To supplement his career in the field of structural engineering, Austin sought an outlet for greater creative freedom.
Working from Arizona, Austin founded Flaute Furnishings, where he combined his expertise in computer modeling and his love for hands-on work to create unique art pieces. Demonstrating his ingenuity and dedication, he built his own laser cutter from scratch, allowing him to bring intricate designs to life with precision and care.
Austin’s creations are more than just decorative pieces—they embody a delicate balance of innovation and traditional craftsmanship. His ability to integrate these elements has resonated deeply with his customers, who appreciate the meticulous attention to detail and the warmth his work brings to any living space.
